Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Goal Zero 10 amp PWM Solar Charge Controller. Now, this 10 amp solar controller has the PWM technology, which stands for pulse-width modulation, and this will help regulate your solar panel output to provide consistent amperage to your batteries. Now, this is designed to work with the gel, the AGM, the calcium flooded, lead-acid, LTO, and even the lithium iron phosphate batteries. It will include everything I got here laid out on the table, it includes the solar charge controller, you can see the cord here which I've attached to it, it is a three foot long spade to eight millimeter cable, and this is what'll connect the controller to your solar panel, and it comes with this nice user's guide that'll describe how it operates and how you connect it. Now, to connect this and charge a battery, you must purchase a spade to SAE cable, which we sell separately on our website, it's part number GZ27MR, and it would connect right next to this one here to the spades, and then you run that to your battery.

Now you do also need either a SAE to ring terminal connection for your batteries or the SAE to alligator clips, you just need one of those, either way you wanna connect it to your battery. The SAE to ring terminal is GZ59MR, and the SAE to alligator clips is GZ39MR, and again, both of those we do sell separately on our website. Now, this 20 amp charge controller is recommended for solar charging with the hundred plots and below panels. It does protect the battery from harmful overcharging, and it uses automatic multi-stage charging that switches modes to extend the battery life. Does offer safety features, which would protect against overcharging, undercharging, reverse polarity, short circuit, and over-voltage.

And if you noticed right here, has a nice LCD digital display, and underneath it, LED lights, which will monitor your amperage, your voltage, and your battery capacity. This controller does the IP65 rating, which is weather resistant and dustproof. Specs again, this is for 12 volt battery systems. Now, the maximum solar array current is 10 amps, the normal input solar array voltage is 15 to 22 volts, and the maximum solar array voltage is 25 volts. Operating temperature for this unit is negative 13 degrees Fahrenheit up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

We did mention the length on this cable is three feet. Last thing I wanna do is give you some dimensions on the controller itself. The weight of it is just under a pound, about 14 ounces. But just to give you the width of it, from one side to the other, it is right at 6 1/8 inches, the height on it, it's gonna be right at 3 7/8 inches tall, and the depth is only right at one inch.
